This theater dates back to 1925 and has seen the likes of Jack Benny, Guy Lombardo, Duke Ellington and Al Capone. It is rumored to be haunted by a ghost that is nicknamed Handsome Paul, who shows up suited for a night out on the town. An elderly woman apparition has also been seen here. The spirits here are known to turn on the soda fountains and popcorn machine in the middle of the night, and employees have caught them running away in the morning. Objects moving on their own, door knobs rattling and doors knocking have also been reported here.

I once came to Astoria Oregon crossing the dreaded columbia river bar during my navy days. Coming from keyport Washington. 1994 i visited this theater and felt really weird going in. The vibe was crazy when i stepped in, it only took me 5 minutes to get out cause i didn't feel right.
