Elsinore Theatre - Real Salem Haunt
- 170 High St. SE
- Salem, OR
- (503) 375-3574
This theater is rumored to be haunted by a boy who was killed here in the men's bathroom. Witnesses have claimed to see blood reflected in the mirror, and the upper balcony is haunted by the ghost of the owner's daughter who fell and died from the balcony.

I had a crazy experience here. The second I got out of my car something was affecting me. My husband and I were going to see a comedy show at the Elsinore a few years ago. I was led up to the balcony and I felt abnormally angry. I had nothing to be angry at. I got to the balcony and it felt like someone put invisible hands on my shoulders and tried to push me toward the edge. I heard the word “jump” numerous times. I finally snapped out of it and left the balcony. Even my husband said I was acting strange. Yesterday I was doing research for my latest book and found this site. Imagine my surprise after reading about the owners daughter. Maybe she was the angry spirit trying to get me to jump. I haven’t been back since. Posted 6/30/20
