Oregon State Capitol
Salem, OR 97301
Many strange occurrences have been reported at this capitol building. A board member, Sandra Allen, has even written a book called GHOSTS IN THE CAPITOL, published in 2002 by the Oregon Legislative and Historical Information Group. Witnesses have reported hearing disembodied footsteps on the marble floors, doors that slam shut on their own and unexplained soft voices. There has also been reports of a deceased 1978 representative who shows up after hours.

I work at the capital as a security officer and I work night shift, I’ve seen things standing at the end of a hallway, I’ve walked through the hallways whistling to myself and I’d stop and shortly after hear whistles, I’ve seen figures behind closed doors, peeking around corners or just full on in the middle of the hall way, heard footsteps when no one else was around me, the motion triggered sinks and paper towel dispensers will randomly turn on or dispense paper towels. I love paranormal stuff so it’s pretty cool that I get to work in a place like this.
