The restaurant was full like always we were enjoying a amazing breakfast an I glanced over and noticed a man, an I was shocked an told my husband I am supposed they let that man in here, he had no shirt on a pair of blue jeans no shoes no socks belt buckle undone messy hair like he just rolled out of bed , smoking a cigarette. He look just like you an me not see-through, an scratching his head. My husband which had his back turned to the man asked me who ? What man? I replied look over you shoulder an as he turned to look, the man was no longer there, the waitess must of been watching us because she came over an asked if I was okay an was very persistent asking ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE OKAY, I replied yes an told her what had happened an she smiled an said yes there are un living still here, I have always been sensitive an this isn't my only experience. Posted 10/4/24Last Child to Live In Harmony House
I lived in this house when I was 5 - year '81/'82ish. My parents ran a successful flower business from the red barn out back (not sure if it's there anymore). As a child I apparently used to talk about the monsters in my closet. According to my mother I never really showed fear, just casually mentioned it. My bedroom was the upstairs (what I think to be) east bedroom. My closet was a huge crawl space on the left (south wall of the house) where all my toys were kept. One day my mother hid a bank bag full of money in my closet because she couldn't get to the bank right away and felt it was the safest place in the house. When she went back to get it, the money bag was gone and never found. Apparently the child eating closet monsters ate the greenbacks too. I can't help but wonder with all the renovations the last 35 years if someone hadn't found it yet. I also remember being locked in my bedroom one day which caused me to panick and throw a huge crying fit. My parents were out in the barn working so nobody came to my rescued until later when my mother went to check on me; I had apparently cried myself to sleep. For years I actually thought my parents locked me in my room for being naughty or something. It was only until I brought it to their attention as an adult that I realized they never did such a thing. I also remember it as being the house were I was randomly attacked by our dog and still wear the scare on my face to this day. For years, our family referred to the house as "the house with the monsters in the closet". It's surreal to think it's now on the Oregon Registry of Haunted Houses but not at all surprising. In fact, it confirms we're not crazy for thinking something was off with that house in the first place.
