It has been reported that late at night when the building is closed, large groups of people can be heard talking. When someone goes to investigate the noise, no one is found. Footsteps have been heard following people around and the elevator seems to go up and down on its own. Apparitions have also been seen walking in and out of rooms before disappearing.

Two friends, my partner, and myself went to see The Gossip there in 2013 or so. We all met at the elevator after getting stamped, and it came down without pushing the button. It's a working antique and only has one to press. I had been standing there the longest, and nobody touched it. A few months later I read about the elevator having a habit of doing that. They've had it serviced many times and nobody can figure out why it happens. I've been back many time since, and will continue to. I love that place.
