Old Town Pizza & Brewing was founded in 1974 and is built directly above Portland’s infamous Shanghai tunnels. The pizzeria operates in the lobby of the Merchant Hotel, one of the city’s oldest buildings located in the Old Town Chinatown neighborhood. With this information, it’s no surprise that the location is rumored to be a hot spot for paranormal activity. Nina (pronounced "Nigh-na") is the ghost that haunts the pizzeria and she has been lingering in spirit for over a century. She is often seen wearing a black dress and is known to wander around the basement or watches diners. If she gets too close, you may just get a whiff of her perfume! Nina is believed to have been a prostitute who would visit the Merchant Hotel and was tragically murdered and left in the elevator shaft. If you decide to dine here, be prepared to possibly spot Nina!
