OregonHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Tim Devlaeminck of Fearlandia, to discuss what's new at Fearlandia for the 2016 Halloween Season! Located in Tigard, Fearlandia features two terrifying haunted attractions, in one great location. 

Journey through the Fearlandia Hospital and the not so funhouse, Clown Chaos - that is, if you dare! 

What's new at Fearlandia for 2016? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We are new to the public. We made Fearlandia Hospital a few years ago for a private event but we doubled the space that we had in the past to make it bigger, adding many new props and effects. Clown Chaos is new this year building everything from scratch.

What are you most excited about for the 2016 Halloween Season?

I'm super excited about presenting our performance to public.

What differentiates Fearlandia from other local haunts in Oregon?

We have a large crew of professional actors. More than 90% of the props were custom made by us. We try to make every square inch of walking, entertaining and a chance to scare you. The Haunt House starts when you get there.

How long has Fearlandia been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Fearlandia's history?

This is are first year. 12 years ago I met Brad from D and D props. I would help him with his Home haunt underneath a bunch of large tarps. Each year we would get bigger and better.

What's your favorite experience since opening Fearlandia?

My favorite experience is seeing the actors bringing the haunted house to life.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Fearlandia from start to finish?

It takes about 20 minutes to get through Fearlandia Hospital and Clown Chaos.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Fearlandia is? Why?

8. We had several that could not make it through. And a few they cannot get through the front door!

Does Fearlandia's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

The location of Fearlandia used to be an old lumber yard for years. There's definitely something eerie about this location.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

Performing arts is my passion and it was becoming too expensive of a hobby. My favorite part of the business is seeing peoples reactions when they come out.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Fearlandia?

I think the biggest technology breakthrough has been the lighting. It has given me the ability to make a movie like seen.

Can Fearlandia accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Fearlandia together as a group?

Groups of two or three at a time we'll give you the best experience.

Does Fearlandia offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

Anything else you'd like to let us know about Fearlandia?

October is the time of year that in Oregon it starts getting dark and gloomy. Feeling is where you can have some fun.
